I love cats and had several growing up, but I’m allergic to them. My cats gave me asthma, and I was also allergic to saliva (I’d get a rash). Is it true that certain breeds are better for allergy sufferers? Is there a way to care and groom for a cat that will reduce allergies?

I am using Claritin right now for my allergies but, it doesn’t seem to work! Does anybody know any good allergy medicine that has worked for them? Thanks in advance!!!

My lab has the worst case of skin allergy, having lost fur around the eyes and patches on his body. He does not have any form of mange, and has be diagnosed with a possible food allergy. He is already off egg products, and has started venison, but still not much change – HELP!

I had an allergy test in 2004 (100 shots in my arms), and my doctor wants to do another one. It seems to me in only 4 years not much should change.

Ok, I have allergies to peppers each time I get an allergic reaction it takes longer and longer for the allergy to occur last time it was nearly 10 hours after eating the food this time it was 17 hours after eating the food. Is this even possible? I thought reactions occured at max 4-6 hours after eating the food.

I have recently, with the on set of spring, started having allergy problems which include a feeling in my throat like it is closing. Is there an OTC medication that works better than other and wont make me sleepy?

I’m trying to avoid going to the doctor with my 2 children for allergies, One is 17 months and the other is 3 and they both seem to have sever allergy problems, and benadryl doesn’t seem to work? Any suggestions on properly diagnosing or treating allergy asthma are highly appreciated. I’m going to see a doctor, but I need to get some information before, so I know what to ask her.

I have tried several allergy pills over the years, they are now all over the counter and don’t work. When I get a celestone allergy injection it works right away, is there a pill similar to that injection?

I’ve had allergy problems my whole life, but I have the worst reactions around cats. Would allergy shots only lessen the symptoms or would they eliminate my reactions all together?
