All IT specialists who use Cisco systems would better have a Cisco training, so they make sure they use those products to their full potential. Let’s take only one example: how can you decide if it is better to upgrade your Call Manager from version 4.x to version 6.x?
There are many factors to be considered when going for such an upgrade: you may want to know what else do you need to change, in order for the upgrade to be effective? Do you need new, more powerful servers, or are the actual ones good enough?
Then think if such an upgrade would result in benefits for your company: are the new features interesting for your type of activity, or not? In case your colleagues could use services such as Secure Conferencing, or Call Recording, or Do Not Disturb, you should definitely consider an upgrade.
Always balance benefits with troubles and necessary equipment, and take the wisest decision for your company’s case.
