I’ve just decided to go for a major renovation of my old house, now, before winter starts. I’m going to wash the walls, paint them again, fix the roof, change the look of the old stairway by getting some new wrought iron balusters and a new handrail, replace the old tiles in the bathroom and in the kitchen and changing the doors.
I’m not expecting this to be cheap, as interior doors are quite expensive, but I think this renovation will be worth all the pain. By spring, I hope the house doubles its value, so maybe I can sell it and get a new one, for lesser money. I believe this is possible, as I saw some TV shows with people flipping houses like that and making a nice profit from this activity. Of course, I’ll have to choose modern, fashionable accessories, to make sure the house would sell, but that’s not a problem, with all these modern materials and finishes that are available pretty much everywhere.
Besides, if I manage to flip my house for a nice sum, I’ll be able to go in Tahiti for a trip I’ve always wanted to do but I never had the budget for.
