Each time we are doing something for the first time, we are so excited, that we strive for perfection. For example, getting married for the first time in your life is an extraordinary event, at least for the young bride, if not for the groom as well. When my daughter got married, she decided to handle all details of organizing the wedding ceremony. She did a great job, her wedding party is still remembered by many of her guests. It is true that Alissa is a Virgo, so she’s extremely detailed and perfectionist. When she decorated the party room, she had in mind a sort of silk wedding flowers guide, so she knew how to match those silk flowers with the other elements of the decor, in order to create an artistic effect and a romantic touch. She managed to make everything look like an episode of a fairy tale, in which she and her husband-to-be were the main characters. The maids of honor were dressed in special outfits, reminding very much of elves. When they entered the room, they were stepping on silky petals of roses. If those petals would have been real, in a couple of hours everything would have looked like a big mess. However, using those silk petals, even at the end of the party they looked like fresh, true rose petals. This was a clever finding, which makes me very proud of my daughter. It is not that hard to create your own wedding veil. To make this wedding craft, you will need a length of bridal illusion in the desired length. Wedding favors for the guests are particularly appropriate wedding crafts. Refrigerator magnets are a simple and well-received favor. A really nice idea is to make a magnetic picture frame and include a picture of the couple. You could cut a frame out of craft foam in one of the wedding colors, arrange over the photo, and glue all onto a cardboard backing. Place self-adhesive magnet tape on the back of the cardboard. Decorate the front of the frame with foil heart stickers and a monogram of the couple’s last name.
Bows for the ends of the pews or rows make simple wedding crafts. Wide velvet ribbons are nice for fall and winter weddings, while satin is more appropriate for spring and summer weddings. Loop some flat lace in with the ribbons. In the center of the completed bow, attach some silk flowers and pearl sprays with a hot glue gun.
